How to Style: Snake Print Dress

So as you may know if you read my last blog post, I did a try on at Walmart and purchased a few pieces. One of those was that button down snake print midi dress. I am loving the snake print trend right now because it’s so easy to incorporate into your wardrobe with it being neutral. Let’s face it, animal print in general is a neutral!

I particularly love that this dress is a midi length making it more practical to wear as the temperature drops. Also, the flowy skirt gives it a touch of femininity while the print suggests some edge. The perfect style combo in my opinion!

So let’s get into three ways to style this dress!

First up, over-the-knee boots – both stylish and practical. I love OTK boots so much! They keep your legs warm while making you look like you tried really hard. As the weather gets colder you can you can even pop in a pair of tights underneath for added warmth with your dresses.

I kept this outfit pretty neutral save for the pop of red with my earrings (similar). Statement earrings in a bright color are a fun way to jazz up any outfit! I also belted the dress with a skinny black belt to add more definition to my waist and pull it together more with the black boots.

Next, keeping with the black theme, I traded the OTK boots for a pair of black peep toe booties (old from Express – similar). I love that these five any outfit a little bit of edge.

To top it off, I layered on a denim jacket for those cooler days, and a trendy pair of shades because you know that fall sun can be bright!

Last is my favorite look! Remember those booties from my Walmart post last week? I bought them because I knew I could pair them with so many things including this dress!

To lighten things up a bit, I added my favorite cream blazer from H&M and a skinny gold belt from Target (the black and gold belts come in a two pack). I also popped on a pair of gold earrings to go with the belt.

So what do you think? How would you style this dress? Comment below with your thoughts!
