How to Style: Blazers

Blazers are often thought of as work-wear staples, but they have evolved into much more versatile pieces. They can be worn to the office, casually, or for going out. Some styles are more traditional and some make a statement.

Today I am styling the cream “Shawl-collar Jacket” from H&M. I love that this blazer is meant to be worn open, being that it has no button. It is also slightly longer than your traditional work blazer, but still has clean lines making it the perfect piece to style multiple ways.

“Casual Cool”

Who says you can’t dress up a pair of cut-off denim shorts with a pair of low block heels and a blazer? I love that this look is a little unexpected and fun but super comfortable. To balance out the look, I paired the shorts and blazer with a soft blue tank – tucked in, and nude classic accessories.

The blazer and accessories simply elevate the denim shorts. I would wear this to meet a friend for coffee or out to brunch.

“Wild Thing”

Want to feel sassy yet polished? Pair your blazer with a printed skirt, block heels, and a bright bag for your girls night out. You will look instantly put together! (This skirt has become one of my favorite pieces with the black and white leopard print.)

“Business Casual”

Do you work in a more casual setting? Pair your blazer with some drawstring trousers, a satin or crepe cami, espadrille wedges, and a tote bag. Let this look carry you into the evening for drinks with your co-workers.

“Make a Statement”

Make a statement by pairing your blazer with a bold pair of pants! Make it even more fun by adding in detailed accessories such as a headband, top handle bag, and leopard print flats. You can wear this outfit anywhere…even on the weekend!

“Work-wear Chic”

Of course you can’t go wrong with classic work-wear. Pair your blazer with slightly cropped trousers to show off your ankles…AND your shoes. Add a simple top and some black and gold accessories. You will be the best dressed person at the office!

Hope you enjoyed these 5 different ways to style a blazer!
