How to Style: The Leopard Print Slip Dress

Ah the slip dress, a timeless piece. I don’t know about you but when I think about the slip dress, I picture Jennifer Garner in “13 Going On 30”. She wears so many great outfits in that movie but the slip dress is one of my favorites.

The smooth satin material and the simple silhouette give such elegance to this piece. The one I am styling today is in leopard print.

I have had my eye on a dress like this for quite some time now and finally found it at TJ Maxx for only $19.99!! What a steal! Here are some ways that I plan to wear this beautiful dress.

The most classic way to style the leopard print slip dress is with some barely-there, nude heels and a red bag.

Pop on some sneakers and a white t-shirt for a more casual look.

Add a denim jacket over the top as we near fall or for a chillier evening.

Skip the t-shirt and just wear the denim jacket. Swap out those sneakers with some wedges and add a bright bag for a casual evening out.

Define your waist by adding a belt and some accessories to match.

Change up your shoes and bag for a different look.

Transition to fall by layering a black sweater over the top and knotting it to define your waist. Pop on some cute flats and a statement necklace!

Layer on a black blazer with some gold details to match the hardware on your bag. Finish off with some nude heels to elongate your legs.

Mix it up by switching out the blazer for a colored one. Cinch in your waist with a belt. Finally a pointed to add some sass and streamline your look.

What do you think of the leopard print slip dress? Would you wear it?

  1. Love your styling ideas. On this one, my favorite is with the black belt and red accents and also loved it with the black zippeted jacket.
    Can’t wait to see more!!
